This past Saturday we held our initial beer festival here at Max Lager’s, and our apologies go out to those who missed out. The event was nothing short of spectacular and the folks fortunate enough to be present were treated to a wide array of spectacular beer, food, and music courtesy of gr8FLdüde & frenz. As if that were not enough, attendee Kyle Soard was lucky enough to win a beer trip of a life time to Belgium with our great friend Owen Ogletree.
Some of the beers that especially stood out include the following:
-Wicked Weed: Fille De Ferme
-Wild Heaven: Pluot Is Not A Planet
-Red Brick: 21st Anniversary Dark Saison
-Southern Brewing: Dry-Hopped Foeder Beer
-Max Lager’s: Excommunication
One other treat from the festival was the introduction of our brand new 32 tap draft system, which will be a focal point of our newly renovated tavern. Our hope is to have the tavern completely renovated and open for service by the end of August, assuming construction stays on track. Our guests will be treated to some of the finest brews on draft in the area, showcasing several of our limited release sour and barrel aged beers.
Finally, I would be remised if I did not tempt you with some of the upcoming beers we have in the fermenting vessels at this time. Among other goodies the annual release of the Demon D’or and Max Abbey Belgian inspired beers are conditioning nicely and should be on tap by late August or early September. And don’t forget the release of our Max Lager’s Oktoberfest beer September 17.
