Labor Day brings us the Chick-fil-A kickoff classic, so all Georgia fans are invited to make their presence known amongst the visiting North Carolina crowd. Come early and enjoy the DragonCon parade and mingle among the Storm Troopers, spot Batman and Robin, or search for a Pokemon or two.

DragonCon/Georgia Football
Max Lager’s will showcase DragonCon favorites Demon D’or, Max Abbey, and Monk’s Mead throughout the weekend. Also, rumor has it we will be tapping a very special guest keg of a Star Trek beer especially for the event.
Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest will kick off on Friday the 9th of September with our first annual “Pretoberfest Party” – you know JR, he just can’t wait to drink great beer. It’s not a real complicated event, we just want to reintroduce the upstairs at Max Lager’s – we provide live music and some bits and bites and you get to explore JR’s beer world. JR now has a new beer playground that includes the Barrel Room that will be the center of his casking operations, the new copper clad bar that has over 30 taps and pours some of Southeast’s most sought after craft beer offerings, and the new roll down glass door that opens to the deck that offers beautiful city views and perfect Atlanta sunsets.
Finally, do not forget September 17, which is the official start of the German Oktoberfest celebration. Rest assured you will not have to travel to Munich to celebrate Oktoberfest, as Max Lager’s has you covered with a fresh batch of our Oktoberfest lager. This beer will be tapped on September 17 though it won’t last long, so get it while you can. Otherwise you will have to wait a whole year to get it again.
