Everyone loves good beer and Low Country Boil, but this dynamic duo tastes even better when you know it’s for a good cause. Our annual Drink Beer, Do Good with The Gateway Center, Atlanta’s second largest homeless resource center, helped raise proceeds to help make homelessness in Atlanta rare, brief, and non-recurring.
Upon entry, donors enjoyed the spice of a Low Country Boil, the fizz of our handcrafted brews, and the hum of the Grateful Dead cover band, gr8FLdüde & frenz. The Georgia sunshine and breeze could not have been better for this indoor/outdoor event.
On the patio, Chef Paul showcased his Southern cooking skills in a Low Country Boil full of Andouille Sausage, GA Shrimp, Corn on the Cob, Max Mussels, Red Potatoes and Peppers.
Chef Paul giving a thumbs up!
The medley of seasoning was perfectly paired with the tenderness of each component of the dish, and a dash of Paul’s banter was just the ticket. Our beer list featured the usual suspects like our Hopsplosion!!! IPA, What the Helles?! Vienna Lager, Indominus Belgian Quad, Wry King Max Pilsner, and Demon D’or Belgian Tripel.

Proceeds from each ticket went to helping the Gateway Center give the homeless the tools and counseling they need to become self-sufficient. Halfway through the event, representatives of the philanthropy took the time to personally thank and award several volunteers for their passion for the organization.
